Ring Sizing
We will size all rings purchased from us, selling for over $100.00, free the first time.
Before purchasing a ring be sure of your ring size.
The ideal size has the ring fitting comfortably on the finger, but is a little bit hard to get off. You are really measuring the knuckle.
The best method is to visit more than one jeweler and take the average size, since measurements can vary depending on who is taking it and the type of tools they use. Sizing techniques and readings can vary a small - but significant - amount between jewelers. Plastic sizing tools are often less accurate than metal ones. If you bring a ring with you that already fits, the sizing should be read from the middle of the ring.
A professional jeweler will use a set of graduated rings to determine your finger size. It is important to be sized with a ring of the same approximate width as the ring you are purchasing. A wider ring (8mm or more) may require an 1/8 to a 1/4 size bigger than your original size.
*Note that finger size can vary depending on the temperature and the time of day. Our fingers tend to be slightly larger in the morning or when it is hot and slightly smaller at night or when it is cold. Early afternoon is a good time to get an accurate measurement.
If you absolutely must have a size right now here is the paper/string method. We do not guarantee this to be accurate but hopefully it will do.
*Wrap a piece of string or paper (no more than 1/4" wide) around the base of your finger.
*Mark the string or paper where it overlaps to form a complete circle.
*Measure the length of the section of string or paper where it overlaps around the finger.
*Compare your measurement with this chart to determine your ring size.
